I started with Walgreens when I was 16, as a service clerk. In less than 5 years, I am already an assistant manager and possibly about to be promoted to EXA. I think that proves that as long as you're willing to work hard and prove yourself, you really can go as far as you want to go with Walgreens. I've been a service clerk, photo clerk, head photo clerk, SIMS Coordinator, management intern, and an assistant manager. The pay is very competitive. I earn more than many other people I know who are in management with other retail companies. The work environment is also good, and typically the work is not too overwhelming or stressful. I also feel that Walgreens has handled itself well amidst the ailing economy. It's still the most profitable drug store chain. I'm happy to work at such a stable company.
