I am a former employee of Nordstrom. I was laid-off right in the middle of this bad economy. I was specfically told by my manager that I would be the first one called back when things picked up. I felt I left there on good terms. This was 14 months ago. I still have not heard back from them. The company posts jobs online and are probabaly hiring new people off the streets instead of calling back laid off workers. This is not a good practice. I dont see how you can tell someone this and not follow through on it. I think Nordstrom is an overall good company to work for. I really liked working there for various reasons. I really would like to get back in, but it does not look like that is going to happen.
