In regards to the previous post-er, Medtronic's high level of professionalism and expectations can be intimidating at first but I have not seen anyone leave the company who had met the average standards (showed up for work, on time, and worked while here.) Medtronic Inc is a refreshing change from the disfuctional, under-paying companies that I have seen. In the middle of a recession, I have good pay, excellent benifits, job security, and my hours are exactly the same every day. Overtime is for volunteers and is documented and paid accordingly. My co-workers are extremely competent to start with and challenge each other to better performance. The company gives quarterly financial meetings for all employees highlighting current accomplishments and outlining current projects and goals that are inline with future expectations for the industry and prove that the company will continue to thrive going forward. Complaints and issues are appreciated by management and addressed quickly. Integrity and Quality are not just words here they are measured and drilled into each employee. I enjoy working for the company and though I do not ever play politics or get involved in gossip I do not feel any hostility or exclusion here. All other employees seem happy and persons whose personalities are drawn to negativity, even they do not have much to say here.
