Madison is not your “typical” employer. The partners were adamant years ago that they did not want to be part of an organization that “managed to the status quo.” Their vision and mission was and is clear. It is supported by the firm’s Principles Statement. This Statement identifies: what is valued, what will be rewarded and what won’t be tolerated. Individuals who are seeking a “job” will not be successful. However, individuals who are seeking opportunities can be.

The bottom line, Madison’s investors hold the partners accountable for their investments. Everyone, regardless of role or title, is held to the same level of accountably – there are no free rides. The firm’s business model is one of a disciplined, motivated, committed and risk taking organization.

Individuals who get ahead are those who embrace, not resist, change. They work hard everyday to perform at a level where they will achieve or exceed expectations. Their reward – a career path (committed employees, who started in entry level positions, have become principals). Rewards are earned, not given.

The firm has doubled in size (headcount) during the last 5 years and continues to reach toward $1 billion AUM. Human capital is the driver, the only driver.
