Several well-placed firings, some new hires, a promotion or two and this company is a lot more up to date and up to snuff than it used to be. Human Resources actually is there to help the employees not terrorize them. Productivity counts. Favoritism is way down. It's not Microsoft or even Zurich Insurance but it's tolerable. And it's still there.
