I have worked at Perform Air International for nearly 3 years and have nothing but positives to say about this company. The pay scale is terrific and reviews are done annually and are always very fair. All employees are dealt with in a professional manner and shown the utmost respect. The management will always allow you to give your opinion and will take that into account when making decisions.
We recently received a newsletter stating the state of the company and that even in this terrible economy, we were reassured that our jobs were safe and everything would be done to keep it that way. We work with extremely competent people and never feel degraded or put down by any lack of knowledge in a certain area. People are always will to help others succeed in this company. The location is ideal for many people, it is centrally located in east Mesa, not to far from downtown Phoenix or from Apache Junction.
All in all, I feel this company is the best I have ever worked for and I hope to remain at this company a very long time.

Perform Air is a great company to work for. The work environment is on of great respect and cooperation. Employees are treated with respect. Our location is great for me as it is less than 10 miles from home, and I do not have to deal with rush hour traffic. We have every weekend off so my work / life balance is great. The pay is better than the competition pays, and the benefits are as good as a large company offers, to include 401k. I love working here and would recommend it to anyone who wants a long term position with a fair company.

From Gilbert, Arizona — 04/02/2008

I have worked at Perform Air for almost 3 years and I can honestly say I have never been happier working in my life.

I am paid very well as I believe all at Perform Air are for what they do. As others have said below ALL employees are reviewed annually for raises based on their performance. I have worked for other companies in the past where raises are not even thought about let alone reviewed every single year.

I like the Benefits, actually I have to say I love the Benefits. I say this because at Perform Air the benefits go far beyond just insurance, 401K, etc. If you would open your eyes and stop believing the grass is always greener on the other side or that your life is so bad you would see what Perform Air can offer you. I have made some friends for life working in this organization that I would plan to keep if I ever left which, you can tell, has never crossed my mind.

I am shown respect from everyone in the company from the owners all the way to employees who just work part-time. Every employee is treated like a part of the family, respected for their function in this organization.

As far as job security, there are many people who have made Perform Air their lifetime career. People flourish in the environment because there is not a day to day threat to their job. There are several circumstances where previous employees have seen their mistakes and received their position back. The owners pride themselves in giving every employee room to grow and learn.

Work/Life Balance is just a no brainer. First of all we get each and every weekend off. If you are asked to work overtime or put in extra time you are rewarded for it and are in no way threatened if you do not. These "crazy" owners go above and beyond to help not just their employees have GOOD lives but also if they can, will help their employee’s families as well. How many People no matter who they are will give up their whole weekend to fix a home up so that not an employee can have a place to live but a relative of an employee? These Crazy "owners" care about people if you can't see that then you are just blind.

Many people have made Perform Air their Career. We have employees who have been with the Company 20 years!! If it was such a bad place to work why would they stay? Why would they encourage others to join? We are a growing company we have grown tons in just the short time I have been there and continue to grow every day. The more we grow the more opportunities will open up.

Honestly who cares about Location? We are not in a bad part of town. Other than that if you have to commute no one forces you to do so. You can find another job closer to your home if you don't like the commute. Is a company supposed to make sure it only hires employees that live close to their location? Give me a break.

I have faith and respect for ever co-worker I have expect the miss-guided soul who started thing.
The management staff is unbelievable, they all work together every single day to strive for excellence.
In the company there are only two direct family members, and they are not management. Anyone suggesting that the only way not get promoted through the company is by blood relation, is completely inaccurate in this assumption.

The work environment is great. We all work hard but everyone gets along and it does feel like one big HAPPY family. This atmosphere starts at the top with those "crazy" owners. They go out of the way to make it this way. They try to bring everyone together in a social setting every chance they get for FREE.
As far as the smell goes I can't say it any better then the Hog Farmer. The company makes a lot of money on that blue poo you don't like the smell of and helps a great deal in paying for the extras provided throughout the year. Especially Christmas where at Perform Air December feels like Christmas almost every day.

I am one of the fortunate people in the company who has had the chance to travel to aviation conferences.
At these conferences you can see how well respected our name is in the industry, and everyone just doesn't know and respect Perform Air but they respect those same "crazy" owners who you think this company would be better off without.

I want to thank everyone on here for sharing what they feel about Perform Air and it's Owners.

We didn't need to put this on the internet to know what we have. But since we are all so close and have such a passion for what we do and what we work for we couldn't let one ignorant unhappy employee have the only say about our great company.

From Gilbert, AZ — 03/31/2008

Being a young adult at the ripe age of 20, I know that when someone angers you for any reason, there are appropriate ways to deal with that anger. This, unfortunately, is the picture perfect example of what someone who has no character would do.

It sickens me almost to tears because the people such as myself who have known the owners and their family for ever are being generalized into a group of scared, non-educated people. Even working Perform Air for a short two and a half years, I have learned so much not only about myself, but how to be professional and excel in anything I set my mind to.

Being in college working towards my Business Degree, The Owners understand how important education is to youth. There are some employees who are in college who can only work two or three days a week because of school and that is ok. The reimbursement for tuition is fantastic and not often found at other companies.

Anyone who works here should know from previous emails The Owner has sent, how generous and giving this company is not only to its employee’s but their families as well.

I can tell you right now that if I ever find out who did this to the company, words cannot describe the disgust and resentment I would have for that individual(s). Being a person of character and respect, I will not defame them as they have us.

I appreciate everything they have done for me, even as a child when I did not work here.

From Gilbert, AZ — 03/31/2008

As a former employee of Perform Air, I can honestly say that the company will always stand out as one of the most rewarding and educational experiences in my 27 years in the aviation business. I believe that the owners, executive staff, and management personnel have always tried to lead by example, solicit the advise of the technicians on the floor, and exceed/maintain the highest quality within the industry. There were always one or two people that made a career out of complaining about their lot in life, but hopefully these oxygen thieves have been shown the door. Perform Air has done one thing that most companies have been unable to do, which is hire a very diverse and highly skilled/experienced group of people regardless of formal education (some of the dumbest people I know are college grads “Summa Cum Moron”). Best wishes Perform Air, don’t let comments from the mental midgets ruin one minute of your day. Bravo to the responses. QC rules.

I have been with Perform Air for several years, and am offended by the person who wrote the original comment as I have no idea where they are coming from. First Pay, I am paid well, and am reviewed at least annually. As far as respect goes, I have always been show respect as a person, and feel my input has been listened to acted upon. The benefits are good, and although we are a company of 80, our benefits are the same as those of the large companies I have worked for in the past. As I said earlier, I have been there for several years, so I obviously feel there is job security, I never feel like my job is in jeporady, even if I make a mistake. You really have to mess up big to be terminated, and even then some are given thier jobs back. Although I do not personally agree with that, I have to say, it makes me feel very secure. The Work/Life balance could not be any better, as most of us get off at 2:30 every day, and we do not work weekends. I think there is career potential if you want it. The location is in a new complex in Gilbert. I live in the east valley so it is a good location for me. I trust my co-workers to do thier jobs right, and they trust me to do the same.
The work environment is great. I am not sure the person who wrote the original comment even knows what a good environment is. The owner of the company is great, and the VP's are all very knowledgable in thier areas. I just do not know what more anyone would want. I for one do not plan on going anywhere.

From Gilbert, Arizona — 03/29/2008

I have thought long and hard about my response on this website, not wishing to inflate the ego of the individual who initiated the series of responses with the less than attractive statement, but I feel it would be remiss of me not to say something. I have been a part of Perform Air International for many years. I have watched it grow into a very successful organization. The amount of quality product put out by our 80 or so employees is simply amazing and something we should all be proud of, including the person who felt the need to slam us. Yes, I said US. Although the attack was meant to focus on the "crazy" owners, it demonstrated a lack of respect for the work performed by every individual in the building. To that person I say - "Leave, if you are not happy. Find something that suits you better. You would not be the first person to leave our organization and surely you will not be the last. Most who come to work at PAI realize it is a great place to work and have no desire to leave. Many who have left, return as they realized what they had after they left. We do not need your negativity. We have a great group of people who enjoy working together and are proud of what we have accomplished. If you cannot get behind this, you need to move on".

Let me tell you about the "crazy" owners. They are kind and generous people who care for all of their employees. They remember birthdays and holidays. They provide events throughout the year for the employees and their families. They have a Santa Claus party at their home each year so parents don't have to wait in line with their children to see Santa. They will jump in their car and drive to your home to console you, when you have lost a loved one. In all the jobs I have had, I have NEVER worked with people of this caliber. Yes, there are family members employed, as are friends. They get no special treatment. They are treated as employees because that is what they are. They do their jobs, they earn their pay. The pay is fair and equitable. Research is done to ensure this. Hourly employees rarely work overtime, this is true, but most people WANT their weekends off! If someone has to work on a weekend, it is of a critical nature and are happy to do so. Salaried employees are expected to work a 50 hour work week. All do, and I have heard no one complain about it. Maybe that's because the owners are there working those hours and more. The location is excellent unless you live exceptionally far away. I do not, I like where we are located. I've never heard anyone complain about the commute. I think the work environment is excellent. Everyone is on a first name basis including the owners. Each of us is there to lend a hand when another deparment needs assistance. It doesn't matter to us what needs to be done, we are a team and we work together. We have respect for each other and our abilities. We have employees with years of experience in the industry and those who are novices. We have high school and college students and those with Master's degrees. We have some who went to college and some who did not. We have veteran's and those who did not serve. We are diverse and it is what makes us special. The company is well run and jobs are secure unless you are not doing your job. Turnover is minimal. Benefits are good. Employees do have to pay for a portion but many companies are completely doing away with benefits because of the cost. Educational reimbursement is offered as is 401K. There is opportunity to promote as the organization continues to grow. PAI makes every effort to promote from within.

The ownership of this organization is unique. It's not the "my way or no way" attitude. If you speak up, you will be heard. People do not perform their functions out of fear. It is done out of pride and respect. Pride in their work and abilities and respect for themselves and their co-workers. I commend the ownership and I commend my co-workers. I am proud to be a part of Perform Air International.

I have been at PAI for over two years. I am happy to be part of this team. Of all the places I have worked in the past, this company by far understands the meaning of "taking care of people." Everyone is an individual who is appreciated, definately not just another number. The work is challenging, the pay is good, hours are great (days & weekends), benefits are good, and the parties are great.
