I have worked for PBS&J for almost 10 years and have been proud to be an employee of such a reputable firm. In the midst of the troubles we've experienced these past few years, PBS&J employees have worked together to keep this company going and moving ahead. We must learn from the past and prepare for the future. We can't sit or stand idly by and wish for yesteryear - we are never going to be the same company we were at the start of the millennium. Change is inevitable at any company, not just PBS&J. We, like many other companies, have suffered during these economic hard times, but we will persevere. Our strength comes from our employees and our clients, and that is evident in the daily work that is produced in every office across this nation and abroad.

Its always a shame to see negative slander posted on these types of websites. Clearly its a disgruntled figure who feels they deserved more than they received. I was a 10+ year employee who moved on to another consulting firm, and I cna honestly say that working for PBS&J was a career enriching experience. It truely was a shame that a select few management figures soiled the firm's name, but as someone who sees their daily performance, I must say the quality of their performance and deliverables is second to none. I am constantly encouraging my current employer to adapt some of the processes and work ethic of PBS&J. They truely do care about their clients AND their employees. When someone says "I was fired because it took time off", clearly there is another side to the story. If that were the case, a lawsuit would be pending. Condolences to the individual who took time off for berevement, but dont blame your dismissal on such an act. And those that constantly reference the firm being "for sale", i strongly urge you to research your statements before posting your ignorance. While this is an annonymous posting, folks that bad mouth are rarely considered a good source for information. I'm sorry if any disgruntled employees feel negatively towards the firm, but we all know that there are always 2 sides to the story.

As a 15-year employee of PBS&J, I also wanted to leave a positive comment. I know that a strong work ethic, and a knowledeable professional staff has helped this company grow into an industry leader. When corruption by a few was discovered, the company marched head-on into the process to set things right. I appreciate working for a forward-looking firm that can move beyond the disgessions of a few and help PBS&J continue to grow and prosper. PBS&J stays on the leading edge of technology, and of all the various work disciplines that are offered to our clients. It has been and still is a very good place to work.

Having been with this company for a number of years, I've had opportunity after opportunity. One of the many things I like about PBS&J is that what I do is appreciated. I've had a chance to use my skills in many different ways, and I feel as though I am only limited by myself. I've been able to learn quite a bit in my chosen field and have been able to learn how to apply it in new and interesting ways. And I'm surrounded by people who are very knowledgeable and are willing to share that knowledge and their perspectives with me—they want me to succeed. I'm proud of the work that we do; there is something for everyone here it seems, and the people are great. Yes, we work hard, but I think that's because we take pride in what we do. I have been with PBS&J for more than 20 years and I'm still looking forward to what the future brings.

Too often, disgruntled employees are the only ones who respond to reviews like this. So I felt it was important that, as a satisfied 20-year employee of PBS&J, I share my thoughts. PBS&J is employee-owned, and employees truly have the opportunity to contribute and make a difference. In my experience, employees who find a career home here do so because of a shared work ethic that includes a commitment to quality and client service, as well as technical and professional excellence. Our work opportunities are interesting--in keeping with our vision of "improving life for generations." Few companies in these difficult economic times continue to seek work/life balance options (like flexible work schedules) and superior benefits in the manner that PBS&J has. PBS&J University is an amazing resource that supports our personal as well as professional development. Our office environments and work equipment are generally superior. Offices like mine are highly active in giving back to the community, not only through grass-root employee initiatives, but also through The PBSJ Foundation, which employees can contribute through and obtain grants for worth charities. I am quite happy to have committed the majority of my professional career to this company, which I know cares about its employees and has empowered me to make a difference.
