As a new hire at this company, I have noticed both the good and not so good here at Mansfield. Co-workers are friendly and are helpful. The pay is adequate for the Gainesville market. If you are expecting Atlanta size wages, your expectations will not be met. Hours are long but the work is very fullfilling. It is nice working somewhere that your efforts are noticed and apprciated. The members of senior management are passionate about the company and it's growth and direction. I understand the benefits are good and there are options for all family types and all pocketbooks. Mansfield promotes from within, so career growth is what you make it. The facility is beautiful and has a massive breakroom/kitchen area; the gym is nice although I havent seem many pepole that have time to use it. The training sessions are informative but a bit redundant at times. Overall, it has been a positive experience thus far. As with any company, there are +'s and -'s. The most impressive program I have heard about is their process improvement plans. Employees, managers, etc., participate in discussions of topics for company improvement. The topics range from pay structures, bonus plans, training improvements and the progress is posted near the kitchen for anyone to view. Fast paced, growing, stressful, friendly, ahead of the curve, 40++ hours a week company. I really like it!

Mansfield Oil is a company that has seen extreme growth in the past several years. Some people like that kind of dynamic environment and some people don't. The leadership within the organization acknowledges that rapid change can be tough on people and have been going to great lengths to help existing employees and new hires be successful through extensive training programs, talent management iniatives, and other efforts.

The technology team is currently experiencing exciting changes necessary to address the many business opportunities that lay ahead. The technology team is adding capacity, reorganizing so people can have focused roles, working to build lean technology procedures, and trying to provide thought leadership to the business through technology innovation. Just recently, Mansfield's technology group was named #1 in their industry for innovation and #24 overall at the InformationWeek 500 (http://www.informationweek.com/iw500/2010/top250/index.jhtml;jsessionid=N0PWBBFE5RSQ5QE1GHPCKHWATMY32JVN?sortby=Rank).

Some people don't like a dynamic environment, but to be world class and lead the business, a technology group has to be dynamic. If you know how to work smart and have good ideas, you can excel at Mansfield.
