Working at Direct Capital — Reviews by Employees

I agree with the below statement 100%. Especially that about the managers listed. I know first hand that these two individuals are a large reason why there are so many sucessful employees at dcc. Its seems as though the person below complaining may be better off in a data entry or fast food restaurant. However, I would gurantee they still spend most of their day on this website complaining about that job too.

Great company, wonderful people, awesome experience, fantastic opportunity and all and all, as good as it gets.

Everyone has to make a buck... try finding a job right now being fresh out of college.. NOT EASY, unless you have the "inns". I WILL "love" my job because it's putting food on my family's table, it's bringing me to the doctor, it's teaching me how to speak loudly to the public. I told my manager, "i feel bad, i feel like i'm ripping people off" I started thinking about it, i'm really not ripping anyone off. I am not lying to anyone. I am not the type of person that could live with themselves if i were to do that. I am simply providing a service to a business owner that perhaps cannot find the service any where else, we try to find options for them, we help them out.. IN TURN, yes they will have to pay... when was the last time you saw anything for free?

As with any company, there are a variety of different positions available at Direct Capital. The majority of the people commenting appeared to have taken entry level sales positions and more then likely did not have the skills to build a successful career. What's missing here is comments from the many employees, including sales talent, that have been with the company for a long time. A lot of these employees prospered tremendously through great work ethic and capability and were rewarded handsomely when the company partnered with Allied Capital and Goldman Sachs in 2007. The fact is that Direct Capital is an incredible company to work for that gives you a hands on opportunity to impact a fast-paced small-to-medium sized business. The company does an outstanding job of pushing each of its employees to deliver their best everyday and those that strive in that type of success-driven organization will flourish. I have been with the company for nearly 10 years and have had offers at some incredible companies that most people would jump on in a heartbeat. But, I would never give up what I have at Direct Capital. There's no other company that I have worked for that brings the passion and commitment everyday like this organization. When I visit other companies, I feel like I'm in a morgue! So, before you get dissuaded by comments from others, experience it for yourself!
