Market Conduct Bureau is a great place to work. However, the department is relatively small and there are no promotional opportunities. As with most State agencies, the pay is not great but it has decent benefits. Travel can be extensive and difficult for balancing home life. Good locattion, but parking is expensive. Good management and work environment.

A great place for work life balance. Not a good place to work if you are looking for upward mobility or looking for practical experience as an attorney. Unless you're interested in working for the entities you regulate (insurance companies), job skills are not very transferable.

Good legal staff here, but because the Commissioner is an elected position, politics often interferes with public service objectives.

Senior Management changes every 4 to 8 years and some management teams are indecisive and inefficient.
