Very good people to work with, very high quality management, respect, high morale. There have been major layoffs recently due to changes in the industry - so everyone is worried. But if they survive, it is a great place to work. Easy to get to by public transportation in downtown Boston - they also give a commuter subsidy for the transit system. They value family work balance and don't demand excessive hours.

This is a fair and exciting company to wrk for. The Federal Family Education Loan Program is administrated by ASA in Massachusets and Washington DC. The problem is that congress has just voted to ax the program in favor of the Direct Loan Program which means ASA and the other 36 student loan guarantors will be scrambling for scraps and new business opportunities. In this economy? Good luck. The company goes out fo its way to be inclusive and fair but the feeling is not very positive there as far as long term employment.
